Varsity Team

This was the best year ever for Pelham Wrestling. The team finished fifth in Sectionals as a team. Brian Philen, Bobby Nadler, and David Driver all finished third at Sectionals. Ryan Dye and Forrest Walker finished fourth. At the State Tournament, the Pelham High team finished seventh. David Driver finished fourth in the state, and Ryan Dye finished second in the state. Bobby Nadler and Brian Philen reached the semi-finals of the State Tournament. All in all, it was an unprecedented year for Pelham High School wrestling.

Freshman Team

In the second season of competition, the JV wrestling team continued to improve. This year’s team was coached by Coach Parker with help from Coach Lavett. The team was able to practice with the varsity team which allowed them to improve at a drastic rate. This was the first time that many of the members of the team were able to compete. The team was made up of all freshmen. Coach Parker was very happy with the results of the season. Pelham High School can look for continuing success from these wrestlers in future seasons.
